Business Visitor Visa
To visit Canada for business purposes, you may need to apply for a Business Visitor Visa. This visa allows you to travel to Canada for business activities such as attending conferences, meetings, seminars, or to negotiate a contract. It does not permit you to work in Canada. You will need to demonstrate that you are a legitimate business visitor who will leave Canada at the end of your visit. Eligibility requirements include having a valid passport, proof of ties to your home country, and proof of sufficient funds to cover your expenses while in Canada.
To show you are a business visitor, you have to show:
- Evidence of the purpose of your visit: invitation letter from the Canadian business, conference brochure, or other document outlining the purpose of your visit.
- Proof of your financial solvency: bank statements or credit card limit/balance.
- Documents to show that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay: return airline ticket and/or travel itinerary.
- A valid passport.
- A letter of support from your employer stating that you are travelling on business and that your employer will bear the financial responsibility for the trip, if necessary.
- Evidence of any business ties you may have in Canada, such as past business trips, existing contracts, or correspondence.
- A valid Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) if you are a citizen of a country where this is required.
