In the most recent Express Entry draw for 2023, Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has invited more applicants.

The government issued invitations to apply to 1,500 individuals in the first ever targeted category based Express Entry lottery for candidates in the trades on August 3rd. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required was 388.

IRCC announced the first targeted draw for candidates with expertise in trades professions under Express Entry category-based selection on Monday, August 1st. Carpentry, plumbing, and welding are among the occupations included in the category, which will help Canada attract more people to its construction sector.
