1. Have at least two years (2,898 hours total/1,520 hours per year) of full-time work experience in a skilled trade within the five (5) years before applying. 
2. Meet the required language levels in either English or French for each language ability (speaking, reading, writing, and listening). 
3. Have qualifying credentials for their skilled trade from a Canadian educational institution or a provincial or territorial authority. 
4. Meet the job requirements for their skilled trade as set out in the National Occupational Classification (NOC).
5. Be admissible to Canada.
6. Have an offer of full-time employment for a total period of at least one year or a certificate of qualification in that skilled trade issued by a provincial or territorial authority.
