Immigrants to and Residents of Newfoundland and Labrador
According to Statistics Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador will be the happiest province in Canada in 2022. This could be due to a variety of factors, but it does indicate that this province has a generally excellent image, making it a worthwhile consideration for newcomers wishing to settle in Canada.
The province’s affordability, cultural diversity, safety, accessibility to nature, and respect for education are among the benefits of relocating in Newfoundland and Labrador as a newcomer.
For example, this province is frequently lauded for having some of the most cheap housing alternatives in Canada, including condominiums, semi- and completely detached homes, and townhouses. Furthermore, the minimum wage in Newfoundland and Labrador is currently $14.50, which is comparable to the rest of the country. However, the government plans to raise the minimum wage again on October 1, 2023.
Because of these affordability measures and rising minimum wage numbers, newcomers to Canada will be able to better adjust to life in a new nation and enjoy a higher overall quality of life.
