Five provinces in Canada invited applicants to apply for provincial immigration programs.
The Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) is used by the majority of Canadian provinces to invite candidates. Only Quebec and Nunavut lack PNPs. Because immigration is a shared duty of the provincial and federal governments, Quebec has a separate agreement with the federal government. In contrast to other provinces, Quebec’s agreement offers the province complete control over the selection of economic class immigrants.
Receiving a provincial nomination helps all applicants’ applications for permanent residency. A nomination boosts an Express Entry candidate’s application by 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points.

Ontario
On September 7, Ontario issued invitations to 300 individuals under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) Express Entry French Speaking Skilled Worker stream. The CRS scores of invited candidates varied from 308 to 434.
It was a general draw, which meant that candidates from any occupation might be invited as long as they met the required Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 6 in English and (CLB) level 7 or above in French. Candidates are examined on reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills in order to obtain a CLB level.
Quebec
Quebec has released the results of a draw held on August 24.
The province asked 1000 people to apply for permanent selection from a wide range of targeted occupations. A minimum score of 584 was necessary.
Candidates must also have a level 7 oral competence (or better) in French according to the Échelle québécoise des niveaux de compétence en français des adultes or its equivalent.
Candidates were also examined if they got a job offer from a company other than the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal.
British Columbia
On September 6, British Columbia welcomed 222 applicants through three draws of the BC PNP.The majority of applicants, 160 in total, were chosen in a general draw for Skilled Workers, International Graduates, and Entry-Level and Semi-Skilled candidates. Depending on the stream, they required a Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS) score ranging from 89 to 110.
In the remaining two draws, 43 early childhood educators and assistants and 19 healthcare personnel were invited. They required a SIRS score of at least 60.
