British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP)

British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP)

British Columbia PNP immigration is carried out in two main immigration categories – Express Entry British Columbia and Skills immigration. The candidates who wish to relocate through the Express Entry BC category needs to have a genuine and valid profile in the federal express entry system, and then the candidates are picked from the Express entry pool. The BC Express Entry selects applicants based on points, and the process is for both PNP BC and PR processes.

The British Columbia skills immigration category is for skilled and semi-skilled workers, and they have an occupation that is in high demand in the province. In both the categories, Express Entry BC category and Skills immigration, the candidates need to register using the Skills Immigration registration system (SIRS).

The SIRS is for BCPNP, and it is a unique selection system in British Columbia in which the candidates need to register and share certain personal information regarding work experience, job details, and also education. The SIRS works on an Expression of Interest (EOI) basis, and the registered candidate’s abilities are calculated out of a score of 200.

While BC PNP categories want the Job offer from a BC employer, there are also certain categories where SIRS don’t require the applicants to have a job offer.

What are the eligibility requirements for applicants who wish to relocate through the Express Entry BC PNP stream?

Those who meet the set requirement for the BC PNP Express entry are eligible for relocation through the stream. The requirements are –

  • The applicant needs to have a valid Express Entry profile number and Job Seeker Validation Code. The candidate needs to have minimum qualifications for any one of the three schemes.

  • The candidate should meet the language requirements.
